Though Ed believes the hitman killed Jade, he begins to unravel as he feels her presence everywhere. Leigh, who constantly fears for her sister’s life, tells Jade to go to the police. After a few encounters with the man hired to kill her, Jade fakes her death to make Ed think the hitman completed the job.īefore faking her death, Jade confesses to her sister, Leigh (played by La’Myia Good), that Ed is trying to have her killed. When you feel there is no limit you will go to for peace, you will do anything to get it (especially when your life is on the line).

When Jade decides to leave Ed, he tells her “If I can’t have you, nobody will,” and that threat becomes very real when she discovers he has hired someone to kill her. Fear from her husband, Ed (played by Chiké Okonkwo), who is a controlling, narcissistic man who is physically and psychologically abusive. At least that is how it appeared on the surface for Jade (played by Meagan Good). The perfect job and successful marketing career.
